Yes, the condition of the roads is deteriorating, we are providing fundamental solutions: Avinyan

“Last year, 50 km of medium repairs were carried out in Yerevan. We also made thermoplastic markings on those 50 km,” said Mayor Tigran Avinyan in a conversation with reporters.

“Please take me and show me the pothole issues on that 50 km,” Avinyan noted. According to him, every year, particularly due to heavy rains, the condition of the asphalt is gradually deteriorating in various areas, which is related to infrastructure, as well as to aging water pipes and sewage systems.

“Yes, the condition of the roads is deteriorating, and the Yerevan City Hall is providing fundamental solutions. Now, of course, we will complete all the patching work, and for a while, we will forget about this issue, but next spring we will return to it to some extent,” said the mayor. “However, everything has to be seen in comparison. This time last year, we had much larger volume issues, and a lot of work had to be done. This year there are still issues, but they are not of the same volume, and next year, there will be even fewer, and so on.”
