Yerevan Municipality Lacks Tools Against Climate Change, Avinyan States

“The amount of rainfall in Yerevan is increasing and will continue to do so due to climate change around the world,” stated Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, addressing the situation in the city following recent rainfalls.

“There will be more rain every year, and we need to take appropriate actions,” the mayor added. He also noted that the Yerevan Municipality does not possess a significant toolkit within its authority to combat climate change.
