They Are Not Empty Threats: Canadian Prime Minister

US President Donald Trump is trying to 'break' Canadians so that the US can become the owner of Canada. This was stated by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, according to TASS.

“As I have warned for months, America wants our land, our water, our resources, our country, and these are not empty threats. President Trump is trying to 'break' us so that America can become our owner. That will never happen. But we also need to recognize the reality that our world has fundamentally changed,” he said.

He promised, however, to meet with Trump despite the crisis and try to win the trade war with the US. “We need to prepare for the worst, not hope for the best. When I sit down with President Trump, it will be a discussion about future economic and strategic relations between two sovereign states,” emphasized the Canadian Prime Minister.
