Legalization of Cultural Auctions: A New Project by the Ministry of Education and Culture

During a meeting of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, and Sport, it was noted that the field of cultural auctions in Armenia is not yet established, which negatively affects the overall development of the art market.

This new project aims to create a new environment that holds significant importance. Alfred Kocharyan emphasized that the most crucial aspect is the establishment of a platform for artists where they can present their works and receive evaluations from the public.

On the other hand, a platform will be created where people can engage in buying and selling more transparently. Thus, Armenia is entering a new phase of the legal sale of cultural values. For years, the market operating in the shadows is now being brought into the legal sphere, promising transparent auctions and manageable circulation.
