Trump Disappointed with Putin and Zelensky

U.S. President Donald Trump is calling for a complete ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. However, this is complicated, declared White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt, as reported by The New York Times.

“The President wants to achieve a permanent ceasefire. He is frustrated with the leaders of both countries as he strives for a lasting peace,” Levitt said.

She also drew attention to the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a temporary ceasefire today. “President Trump has clarified that he wants a permanent ceasefire. First and foremost, to stop the killings, to prevent bloodshed, and although he is optimistic about reaching an agreement, he is also realistic,” the White House Press Secretary noted.

According to her, Trump’s meeting with Zelensky demonstrates that he is investing significant effort and time into achieving a ceasefire. Trump wants to be the president of peace, just as he was during his first term.
