Putin Declares Ceasefire

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared a ceasefire during the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. This was reported by the Kremlin's press service, according to TASS.

“By the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and based on humanitarian considerations, the Russian side declares a ceasefire during the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. During this period, all combat operations will be halted,” the statement reads.

It is noted that the ceasefire will be in effect from midnight on May 7 to midnight on May 10.
