Lavrov and Rubio Discuss Key Issues in Phone Call

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This information has been reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The parties continued their effective exchange of views on the main aspects of Russian-American active political dialogue.

Lavrov and Rubio discussed the Ukrainian conflict. They also emphasized the importance of consolidating the prerequisites for negotiations aimed at reconciling a long-term peace process in Ukraine. Various other international issues were also addressed during the conversation.

An agreement has been reached to continue communications at all levels.
