We continue our communications with the American side regarding the situation created in Ukraine and there are several signs that we are moving in the right direction. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with CBS News.

“First of all, because President Donald Trump is probably the only leader in the world who understands the need to eliminate the radical causes of this situation. He has said that it was a mistake to pull Ukraine into NATO, that it is the fault of the Biden administration, and that he wants to correct this,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.

Lavrov noted: “One of these radical causes is NATO and the creation of direct military threats to Russia at our borders, and the other is the rights of national minorities in Ukraine. Everything Russian – media, education, culture – has been banned at the legislative level in Ukraine. To get out of this crisis, one cannot simply forget about human rights.”
