Iran Prepares Route from Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan: President Pezeshkian

Iran is preparing a route from Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan. This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in an interview with the Azerbaijani AZTV television channel.

“Everyone must respect territorial integrity. Border relations between countries will also be resolved when political and trade relations are established, taking into account the rights of the parties,” said Pezeshkian, referring to the Armenia-Azerbaijan settlement.

The Iranian president emphasized the importance of respecting territorial integrity and the absence of claims to the territory of neighboring states when responding to a question about Tehran's position on the so-called “Zangezur Corridor.”

“Iran is providing Azerbaijan with a route to Nakhchivan through its territory; work is already underway on this issue, and there is an agreement,” added Pezeshkian.

Earlier, we reported that the Iranian president also stated, “The development of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan is of great importance.”
