Trump's Views Align with Russia's Position, Peskov Says

There are many elements in Trump's perception of the situation in Ukraine that align with Russia's position. This was stated by Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, as reported by TASS.

“There are many elements in Trump's perception of the situation in Ukraine that align with Russia's position. It is too early to speak about the conditions for an agreement on the Ukraine issue,” he added.

Furthermore, Trump stated in an interview with Time magazine that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky must recognize Crimea as part of the Russian Federation. The U.S. leader also pointed to Ukraine's desire to join NATO as one of the reasons for the conflict, saying, “therefore, Kyiv will have to abandon these plans in the name of peace.”
