4-Year-Old Child Falls into River and Dies

On April 27, at 5:47 PM, a call was received at the crisis management center of the Aragatsotn regional rescue department reporting that a 4-year-old child had fallen into the river near a bridge in the village of Oshakan, needing rescue assistance.

Two operational groups from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department, along with two teams from the fire and rescue unit, were dispatched to the scene. A drone was utilized to survey difficult-to-access areas of the river.

The search and rescue operations took place along the Kasakh River, from Oshakan to Voskewaz, covering a stretch of approximately 8-10 kilometers. Near the bridge in Oshakan village, patrol officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and local citizens discovered the child in the river, retrieved him, and brought him to an ambulance.

Unfortunately, the child was pronounced dead en route to the medical center.
