CIA Deputy Director's 21-Year-Old Son Killed While Fighting Against Ukraine
The 21-year-old son of the Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of Russia, Michael Gloss, was killed in April 2024 while fighting for Russia against Ukraine. He had signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported on April 25 by the Russian investigative website Vazhnie Istorii.
Gloss is the son of Julian Galina Gloss, the Deputy Director of Digital Innovations at the CIA, and Larry Gloss, a veteran of the U.S. Navy who participated in Operation Desert Storm. According to documents studied by the publication, Michael signed a contract with the Russian armed forces in September 2023.
Gloss’s mother made history as the first female commander of Naval Academy cadets and has worked in intelligence for over 30 years.
