UK's Latest Ban on Russia
The United Kingdom has imposed a new restriction on the supply of gaming regulators to Russia as part of its ongoing efforts to tighten sanctions. This was announced by the UK's Deputy Foreign Secretary, Stephen Doughty.
“We are intensifying the pressure, and today we announced new sanctions, including on regulators intended for gaming consoles,” Doughty stated.
The restrictions imposed by London pertain to 150 positions, including electronic components such as amplifiers and circuits, which the British government deems critical for the development of Russian military capabilities. A ban is also being placed on the export of chemicals, electronics, equipment, and metals, aiming to limit Russia's military and industrial potential.
