Armenia Has Not Withdrawn from CSTO: Secretary General

The Secretary General of the CSTO, Imangali Tasmagambetov, has stated that Armenia has not withdrawn from the organization. "Armenia has not left; it has suspended its participation in the activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. To say that they have left or are leaving is not a question at all," he remarked.

According to him, Armenia's future participation in the CSTO's activities is a decision made by the political leadership of the country, as an independent and sovereign state.
