They Will Be Forgotten by Our People: Kocharian
Referring to the denial of the declaration of independence and the overall denial of genocide, former Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated that those who attempt to deny these truths will themselves be forgotten by our people. He made these remarks during a conversation with journalists at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial.
Addressing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's condemnation of the display of Azerbaijani and Turkish flags in Republic Square, the second president remarked, “Let me remind you of 2015 when an attempt was made to burn the Russian flag near the Russian embassy. The very people who did that today occupy high positions in the country, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, assistant to the Prime Minister, former press secretaries, and so on. If this is indeed an unacceptable action, it raises the question of whether double standards are applied toward Russia and Turkey.”
“It is simply shameful. On this topic, they do not even have the right to speak,” he added.
