Ghukasyan Officially Takes Office as Mayor of Gyumri

The newly elected head of Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasyan, officially took office as the mayor after taking an oath.

According to point 116 of the Gyumri Community Council’s regulations, the members of the city council handed over to the newly elected head the chain representing the symbols of the Gyumri community and the key to the city.

"I swear to uphold the decisions of the community council, to honestly and diligently carry out the duties of the community leader, to serve the prosperity of the city, and to act for the benefit of its residents. I commit to defending the city's rights, legal interests, and property, dedicating my efforts to support the faith of the people, and to contribute to both material and spiritual uplift," Vardan Ghukasyan stated.
