Peskov Announces Conditions for Russia to Use Nuclear Weapons

Russia, according to the points of the new nuclear doctrine, can use nuclear weapons in response to aggression from Western countries. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian president, while commenting on the statement made by Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu.

“Indeed, everything is written in our doctrine regarding nuclear weapons. It is really so; this doctrine is available,” noted Peskov during a briefing with journalists.

The Kremlin representative also spoke about the possible deployment of NATO peacekeepers in Ukraine. Peskov emphasized that this is “absolutely unacceptable” for Russia and poses a “critical danger” to the security of Europe and the entire world.
