Opening of the 'Zangezur Corridor' Will Expand Turkish World Opportunities: Turkey's Foreign Ministry

The signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the opening of the 'Zangezur Corridor' will significantly expand the transportation and economic opportunities of the Turkish world in the context of the Middle Corridor from China to London. Turkey supports this process.

As reported by Azerbaijani media, this was stated by Turkey's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgun. 'Today, the trade volume between Azerbaijan and Turkey amounts to $6.5 billion. We plan to increase this figure to $15 billion. This can be achieved in 3-5 years through accelerated integration. Moreover, the signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the opening of the 'Zangezur Corridor' will significantly expand the transport and economic capabilities of the Turkish world under the Middle Corridor framework from China to London. Turkey supports this process,' the ambassador stated.
