Fire in Gndevaz Village: Rooftops of Barn and Bakehouse Destroyed

On April 23, at 03:38, the crisis management center of the Vayots Dzor regional rescue service received a call reporting a fire in an outbuilding adjacent to a house in Gndevaz village.

Firefighting and rescue units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and two fire engines were dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that the fire had broken out in the rooftops of a barn and a bakehouse attached to one of the houses on 2/4 street in the village.

The fire was contained by 05:00 and extinguished by 07:10. Approximately 210 square meters of a total 300 square meters of the rooftop were burned, along with around 100 square meters of the bakehouse roof. Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the barn and bakehouse.
