Residents of Proshyan and Kasakh Give Three Days to the Ministry of Territorial Administration

This morning, residents of Kasakh and Proshyan conducted a protest action by blocking the Yerevan-Ararat highway, giving the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure three days to find solutions to transportation issues.

Sergo Muradyan, a resident of Proshyan, told 'Factinfo' that during the protest, they were in contact with the deputy police chief from the Ministry, resulting in an agreement that he and Arthur Martayan from Kasakh will present their community's demands at the ministry.

'Our main demand is that the Yerevan route number 25 reaches the entrance of Proshyan and makes a turnaround there, to ensure safety for students and residents working in Yerevan who need to use this route. As for Kasakh, the former route number 59 bus that served the community should reach the area near the village's post office, allowing residents, including those with mobility issues, to access public transport without obstacles. There is no demand for the bus to enter the village,' Muradyan noted.

According to him, the meeting at the ministry is tentatively scheduled for three days later; however, considering April 24th, it may take place on Monday.

It should be reminded that earlier, it was reported that residents of Kasakh and Proshyan had blocked the Yerevan-Ararat highway early in the morning, demanding that the Yerevan route numbers 25 and 59 continue to serve their communities.

The ministry has released a statement regarding Kasakh's transportation issues.
