Pope Francis' Last Words Released
The Vatican has published the last words of Pope Francis, who passed away early yesterday morning. This was reported by Vatican News.
It is noted that shortly before his death, the Pope expressed gratitude to his nurse, Massimiliano Strappetti, for the opportunity to see the faithful once more, saying, "Thank you for bringing me out to the public." He was referring to his journey on Easter Sunday through St. Peter's Square in the 'papamobile.' Despite his frailty, Francis requested to be brought out to the people. Before stepping outside, he asked Strappetti, "What do you think, will I manage?" Just a few minutes later, he was riding through the crowd, blessing newborns.
On Monday morning, about an hour before his death, Pope Francis' condition deteriorated. He waved goodbye to Strappetti, fell into the hospital bed, and passed away at 7:35 AM. Doctors have confirmed that the Pope died from complications due to a stroke.
