Pope Francis secretly funded drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was stated by Ukrainian historian Alexander Zinchenko.

In December 2023, Pope Francis transferred his personal funds for a Mavic-type drone for the 93rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stationed at Kholod Yar.

“Pope Francis has passed away. Now I can reveal the mystery: In December 2023, the Pope transferred funds in two languages for the 93rd 'Kholod Yar' brigade. He is doing a good deed,” Zinchenko wrote on social media.
