Obstacles Must Be Cleared: Peskov
Kiev can eliminate the obstacles to communication with the Russian side if it is willing to engage in negotiations. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, to reporters, according to TASS.
“President Vladimir Putin had previously expressed his readiness to discuss the issue of refraining from strikes on civilian objects with Ukraine in a bilateral format. If there is a willingness and openness from the Ukrainian side, some steps must likely be taken to legally remove these obstacles to such communications, if there is such readiness,” Peskov said.
“President Putin has repeatedly spoken about his willingness to resolve issues through negotiations, this is yet another reiteration of that readiness,” added the Kremlin representative.
