Individual Sentenced to Life Imprisonment: RA Prosecutor's Office
The court found Telman Kalashyan guilty of murder of four individuals and causing various degrees of gunshot injuries to seven others, sentencing him to life imprisonment, as reported by the Prosecutor's Office.
The prosecutor had initiated public criminal proceedings against Kalashyan for an incident that occurred on August 1, 2017. Following a dispute concerning a debt accumulated due to an agreed interest calculation, he armed himself with a hunting rifle and entered a funeral hall located in the Shamirami community of Aragatsotn Province, firing seven shots in the direction of individuals present in the hall while trying to locate his relative among the crowd.
As a result of the shots fired by Kalashyan, four individuals lost their lives, and seven others sustained varying degrees of gunshot wounds.
