Georgia Ready to Facilitate Peace Agreement Between Armenia and Azerbaijan
Tbilisi is prepared to facilitate the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was announced by Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili during a joint press conference with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid, as reported by TASS.
Botchorishvili reiterated that Georgia welcomes the agreement reached regarding the text of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and is ready to contribute to strengthening peace and cooperation in the region.
“I am glad that last week a trilateral meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia took place in Tbilisi, and I hope that in this format we will be able to collaborate for the prosperity of the region,” she noted.
Botchorishvili emphasized that Georgia places great importance on regional cooperation, especially concerning the implementation of projects that will contribute to economic development.
