Details of Trump's Plan Regarding Ukraine Revealed

The U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for resolving the Ukraine issue may include deploying European forces to Ukraine to ensure ceasefire compliance, reports the New York Post, citing a senior administration official.

“Although the conditions are not final, as Kyiv and Moscow are engaged in internal discussions regarding the plan, the senior official stated that they may include the deployment of European forces to Ukraine if a ceasefire is achieved,” the newspaper writes.

According to the publication, the deployment of separate peacekeeping forces in the form of a joint commission involving Russia, Ukraine, and a third nation that is not a NATO member, for monitoring the contact line and ensuring the ceasefire, is also currently under discussion.

As the publication notes, U.S. participation is also possible, but not in a military capacity, rather in financial terms.

The periodical mentions that U.S. Special Envoy Steve Vitkov may present Russia with the latest, best offer this week, which could include the lifting of certain sanctions.
