Spain Declares Three Days of Mourning
The Council of Ministers of Spain has declared three days of mourning following the death of Pope Francis. This was announced to journalists by the Chief of the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Justice of the Kingdom, Félix Bolaños.
“The government of Spain will declare three days of mourning in connection with the death of Pope Francis. His papacy served as a catalyst for the renewal and reform of the Catholic Church, which will leave its mark on history,” he stated.
All major political figures in Spain, including Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, have already expressed their condolences regarding the pontiff's passing. Earlier, the Holy See's press office announced that the leader of the Roman Catholic Church had died.
