Rogov: Zelensky Played a Deceptive Game
Vladimir Rogov, the head of the Russian Federation Public Chamber's commission on sovereignty issues, has described Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's proposal to extend the Easter ceasefire as a deceptive game. According to RIA Novosti, Rogov commented, "From Zelensky, we see a deceptive game, claiming that he is ready for peace and striving for it. But in reality, this is an attempt to gain time for forced mobilization, to bring more people forcibly and with new strength to the slaughter within 30 days. Additionally, to receive rearmament, primarily from Western European countries."
Previously, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that the Kyiv authorities did not adhere to the ceasefire regime during Easter. She noted that American HIMARS missiles were used for the strikes. In turn, Vladimir Zelensky suggested on his Telegram channel that there should be a commitment to refrain from targeting civilian infrastructure with long-range drones and missiles for at least 30 days, with the possibility of extension.
