LED Streetlight Installation Affects Bird Migration, Says Avinyan

The installation of LED streetlights impacts bird migration, stated Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during an operational consultation of the city hall.

“By installing LED streetlights on the streets, we are achieving significant energy savings, and overall, the streets and yards of the city are becoming brighter. Recent studies show that the installation of LED streetlights significantly affects bird migration as well. I believe that a more in-depth analytical work is needed here to organize future activities more effectively,” he noted.
