Israel to Intensify Military Pressure
Ofelya
Israel intends to increase military pressure on the Palestinian radical movement Hamas due to its refusal to agree to a hostage release deal in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as reported by TASS.
"I have instructed the Israeli Defense Forces to take harsh measures and further increase pressure on Hamas," the Prime Minister stated.
Netanyahu mentioned that "this weekend, Hamas again rejected an offer that could have led to the release of half of the still-living hostages in Gaza and the return of the bodies of the deceased." He emphasized that Israel will not allow Hamas to remain in power in the enclave and will continue the war until it is defeated.
