It is not related to the cessation of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict: State Department

The agreement regarding natural resources being developed with Ukraine has no relation to the negotiations for the cessation of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

"This is a separate process. It is not part of the ceasefire negotiations and does not contain any elements aimed at halting that disaster. It is what is important for Ukraine. And, of course, it is a matter of economic partnership," she said.

It is noteworthy that U.S. President Donald Trump had announced that a deal regarding natural resources with Ukraine could be signed on April 24. According to him, the details of the agreement are still in the drafting stage.
