So, read this and 'ring your ears' - Simonian
Member of the 'Armenia' faction Kristine Vardanyan will long remember her name, as stated by National Assembly President Alen Simonian on his Telegram channel.
“This is the theory of patriotism of the Dashnak Kristine Vardanyan. She asks, ‘What, is Alen Simonian the son of Hovhannes Kajaznuni, who died for independence?’ In the next sentence, she mentions that the individual left Lebanon and Canada, came here and lives in his homeland, yet you accuse that 4 boys are released from the army. So, read this and ‘ring your ears’ so that no one else’s child should die, and that heroism is not bringing sacrifices to the altar, but rather excluding that sacrifice. Heroism is not speaking from a podium about the deaths of other people's children when you know that your head won’t be broken and you won’t be killed, but rather it’s about holding accountable those who have committed such acts for the sake of office.”
“Remember that heroism for an Armenian is not returning from Lebanon to Armenia, but serving your homeland with your 4 boys, and not pretending to be patriotic while drinking coffee in the Cascade cafes and shouting insults at the leaders of an independent country in front of your family, believing that your head won’t be crushed. And, remember that patriotism is not speaking lies from a podium to gain praise from the side; it is like drug addiction—it is very short-lived, pleasurable, and then it turns out that you are a political bum or a clown, with plenty of examples around you. I am neither Kajaznuni nor anyone else, but I am confident that from now on, you will remember my name much longer than his,” wrote Simonian on Telegram.
