It should be recalled that the bronze head and hand of the Anahit goddess, which are kept in the British Museum, were displayed at the State Museum of History of Armenia from September 21. They were showcased for six months alongside various samples related to the Mother Goddess and the exhibition was later extended until April 10. The bronze head and hand of the Anahit goddess have since been returned to the British Museum. Notably, this bronze statue of Anahit had never been exhibited in Armenia before. According to the British Museum's website, the head of this ritual statue of Anahit was discovered in the 1870s in the town of Satala near Erzurum. It has been passed through several antique dealers before being acquired by the British Museum.
