No New Instructions Yet: Peskov
Russian President Vladimir Putin has not issued new instructions regarding the moratorium on strikes against Ukraine's energy facilities. This was announced to reporters by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.
“There have been no other instructions from the Supreme Commander yet,” said Peskov.
Recall that in March, a telephone conversation took place between the leaders of Russia and the USA, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. On March 18, Putin ordered the Russian army not to strike Ukraine’s energy facilities, suggesting that Kyiv should also take similar measures over a period of 30 days. However, by March 20, the Russian Investigative Committee reported that Ukrainian militants had deliberately blown up the 'Sujha' gas distribution station in the Kursk region.
On March 24, negotiations were held in Riyadh involving delegations from the USA and Russia, which included meetings with the Ukrainian side as well. On March 25, the Kremlin’s press service announced that a list of Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities that should not be attacked had been agreed upon. This list includes oil refineries, oil and gas pipelines (storage facilities), nuclear power plants, and hydroelectric dam reservoirs, among others.
