MP Discusses Fortification Works at the Border in Recent Years
In the last three years, Armenia has carried out unprecedented fortification works along its border with Azerbaijan, aiming to enhance the protection level of its servicemen. This announcement was made by Armen Khachatryan, the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly, during a discussion on the performance and results of the government's program for 2024 (2021-2026) in the National Assembly.
“Today, we have an unprecedented volume of fortification construction. Over the last three years, we have managed to carry out a substantial amount of work,” stated the MP. He noted that this may not be widely discussed, but soldiers now know that their protection is ensured.
“Such a level of fortification has never existed before,” added Armen Khachatryan, while also mentioning that there are areas where the work has not yet been fully completed. “Of course, there are still places where work has not been carried out, but that is natural; it is impossible to finish such a large-scale project in one or two years. However, now that I look at the results, I sometimes am amazed at the volume of work that has been done in such a short time,” concluded Khachatryan. For more details, see the video.
