Forget About It: Nikol Pashinyan
There will be no new escalation or war between Armenia and Azerbaijan; forget about it. This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a session of the National Assembly.
“There will be peace. Armenia and Azerbaijan have recognized each other's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the inviolability of internationally recognized borders, as well as the unacceptability of the use of force or threats of force,” he stated.
Pashinyan again urged all parties operating in Armenia and Azerbaijan to be extremely responsible and refrain from making statements that directly or indirectly contradict this logic.
“I officially declare that the government of Armenia will not make statements or take actions that directly or indirectly contradict this logic or cast doubt on it,” he emphasized, calling on the Azerbaijani side to do the same.
Pashinyan noted that a new page in the history of the South Caucasus should be opened together with Azerbaijan, and Armenia is ready to simultaneously sign a peace agreement and submit a joint request to the OSCE to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group.
