Lavrov and Rubio Held a Phone Conversation
The U.S. Secretary of State, Mark Rubio, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a phone conversation. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the statement, the Secretary of State, who is in Paris, briefed on his conversations with U.S. President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and representatives from Ukraine, France, and several other European countries. It was emphasized that these interactions aligned with the themes of consultations that have taken place between Washington and Moscow.
Lavrov confirmed Moscow’s readiness to continue working with U.S. partners aimed at addressing the causes of the Ukrainian crisis. The ministers agreed to maintain communication, including in light of the planned meetings next week between Americans and Europeans with the Ukrainian side.
