White House Threatens to Take Countersteps

The White House is threatening China with a 245% tariff as a countermeasure against US tariffs, reports The New York Times. According to the publication, the US is set to offer tariff reductions to its trade partners in exchange for China’s economic isolation. Negotiations are expected to take place with more than 70 countries.
