US Deploys Troops to Europe
According to the U.S. Army European Command, the United States has begun deploying troops and military equipment to Europe to participate in the large-scale DEFENDER 25 exercises alongside allies and partners, reports TASS.
A total of 5,400 American servicemen will arrive in Europe. The exercises, taking place from May 11 to June 24, will see participation from 18 NATO member and partner countries, in addition to the United States, which will host the drills.
The DEFENDER 25 operations will consist of three main phases: Swift Response, Immediate Response, and Saber Guardian. In total, approximately 25,000 servicemen from the U.S., allies, and partners will engage in enhancing coordination, tactics, and equipment interoperability.
