This All Is at the Level of Life and Death: Zakharova

The social confrontation within Ukraine is at the level of life and death, as many people cannot betray the memory of their ancestors who gave their lives for the truth. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by TASS.

“Considering that all of this has an existential nature for many, I must emphasize that this confrontation indeed has a life-or-death character. Because people, understanding that their ancestors gave their lives for this, protecting the truth, will never betray the memory and will never be able to live under a contrary ideology,” said Zakharova.

According to her, the countries of collective West have attempted to integrate neo-Nazism into state ideology within the territory of Ukraine, and this attempt has resulted in domestic social confrontation, divided between those who have sworn allegiance to the new ideology and those who have not.

“A whole generation has already been raised in Ukraine with the idea that everything that happened 80 years ago was different. There were different heroes, different events, and different facts,” noted the diplomat.
