These Issues Have a Long History: Pashinyan

In Armenia, approximately 60% of the currently serving judges have been appointed after 2018. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly.

“We have literally created a new anti-corruption court from scratch, with first instance, appeal, and cassation courts. However, as difficult as it may be to admit, the public perceptions of the anti-corruption court often do not differ from those of our other courts. This should remind us that the problems and their solutions are not as simple as they may seem. According to my observations over the 7 years in office, these issues are primarily related to the legal education that has been established in Armenia for many years,” said Pashinyan.
