I Am Ready to Sign on Behalf of the People, Says Pashinyan
The only reliable guarantee for ensuring security is peace, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“We have entered a phase of discussions regarding the signing of the agreement, and I have declared that I am ready to put my signature under this agreement on behalf of the people of Armenia,” he said.
The Prime Minister also noted that the issue of the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group is a “clear agenda” for Armenia. “If we are closing the chapter on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which we are doing, what is the sense of the activities of an organization that deals with the conflict? However, the OSCE Minsk Group, de facto, has a broader context, and we want to be confident that Azerbaijan does not view the dissolution of the Minsk Group as a step aimed at closing the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict on its territory and transferring it to the territory of Armenia’s sovereignty,” he emphasized.
Pashinyan also reminded that Azerbaijan has been proposed to sign the application for the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group alongside the peace agreement.
