Armenia Calls on Azerbaijan: Pashinyan

Despite all hardships, the government will not deviate from the peace agenda. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“It is evident that certain forces both inside and outside Armenia are propagating daily calls for war, and they are undertaking specific actions aimed at realizing it,” he said, citing Azerbaijan's wartime rhetoric and the fictitious accusations of ceasefire violations against Armenia, as well as the frequent violations of the ceasefire regime by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

He noted that the gunfire from the Azerbaijani Armed Forces is mostly indiscriminate, although the village of Khndzoresk in Syunik has been targeted twice in one month. “These shootings are either the result of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces' disorder or are intended to exert psychological pressure on the local population,” he stated. Armenia calls on Azerbaijan to investigate the mentioned incidents and take measures to cease them.

He reaffirmed that he has given clear instructions to the Armenian military not to violate the ceasefire regime.

Regarding predictions of a new escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Pashinyan stated, “There is no justification for war. Armenia and Azerbaijan have recognized each other's territorial integrity, sovereignty, the inviolability of internationally recognized borders, and the inadmissibility of the use of force or threats of force.” He also assured that there will be no war, but there will be peace. “The peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan deserve peace and peaceful coexistence.”
