Do Not Cross the Red Lines: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that a peace agreement with Russia cannot include the recognition of occupied territories as Russian, emphasizing that these are red lines that cannot be crossed, as reported by НТВ.

"For us, these are red lines—recognizing any temporarily occupied territory as Russian. Those representatives are discussing matters beyond their jurisdiction," the president declared.

Zelensky added that all territories of Ukraine belong to the state, as this pertains to national sovereignty. He emphasized that it is the people of Ukraine, not various officials, who should discuss territorial issues.

"Ukraine is a sovereign state, and all territories belong to Ukraine's unitary state. Therefore, only the people of Ukraine can speak about the territories of our state," the president stated.

It is worth noting that U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine, Steve Whitcoff, had mentioned that a potential peace agreement regarding Ukraine might include issues related to the so-called 'five regions'. Most likely, he was referring to the status of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions.
