2026 Elections Will Show What the People Want: Rubinyan
Unlike the previous elections in Gyumri, the "Civil Contract" party received 36 percent of the votes in the last elections, placing it in the first position. This was stated by Ruben Rubinyan, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, while discussing the results of the recent local government elections and whether they will face defeat again in the 2026 elections.
"In 2026, we will once again try to do everything possible to gain the support of the majority of the public. The people will show what they think and what they want in 2026," he said.
In response to the comment regarding the lack of trust in Prime Minister Pashinyan and unfulfilled promises, Rubinyan said, "That is your assessment. I remember how in 2021, everyone was asking the same questions, claiming that the 'Civil Contract' party and the Prime Minister had no trust. There was a Gallup poll saying that Robert Kocharian would win. The 2021 elections showed what the people really thought, and now the 2026 elections will also show what the people think," Rubinyan noted.
