Germany is ready to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine. This was announced by the country's future chancellor, Friedrich Merz, as reported by The New York Times.

Merz condemned the Russian missile strike on Sumy, calling it a war crime, and emphasized that Ukraine must receive means to seize the initiative and compel Putin to make concessions.

He confirmed that he is prepared to deliver the Taurus missiles if coordinated with European partners. It is worth noting that the Taurus can hit targets over 500 km away, including facilities such as the Kerch bridge.
