Helicopter Crashes into River in New York, Casualties Reported

On Thursday, at least six people lost their lives due to a helicopter crash into the Hudson River in New York. City officials and rescuers have informed reporters that the helicopter was carrying a pilot and a family of tourists from Spain, including two adults and three children.

The causes of the disaster remain unknown. In an unofficial video that has circulated on social media, the helicopter can be seen plummeting almost vertically into the water, flipping in the air.

This morning, the Mayor of New York confirmed that six people have perished as a result of the helicopter accident.
