Chinese President Calls on EU to Collaborate

China and the EU must work together to counter US intimidation and protect their interests and international norms. This was stated by Chinese President Xi Jinping during a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, as reported by China Central Television (CCTV).

“In the current context, it is of great practical importance for China and the EU to build four main partnerships focused on peace, growth, reform, and civilization. China and Europe should remain committed to their partnership and continue open cooperation,” he said.

According to Xi Jinping, the Chinese side is ready to develop relations with the European Union and move towards strategic stability, bringing great benefits to the people of China and Europe.

During the same conversation, he stated that there are no winners in tariff wars and that going against the world means isolating oneself. The Chinese president expressed confidence that his side would maintain trust, composure, and focus on doing its work well.
