When Will the Final Text of the Constitution Be Ready?

We have a very tight deadline; the draft text of the Constitution must be ready before the elections in 2026. This was stated by Tigran Dadunts, Deputy Minister of Justice, during Government briefings.

The Deputy Minister also informed that the Council for Constitutional Reforms has not been dissolved and is currently operational, and that the Ministry of Justice is collaborating on the text's development. “We need a Constitution that has no doubts regarding its legitimacy from the public’s perspective, as the Constitution is the foundation of every state and its sovereignty,” he said, adding that the question of changing the preamble is not up for discussion.

As for what exactly is changing in the Constitution, the Deputy Minister did not specify since the text is still in the modification phase, and this could later become a subject of speculation.
