Prove Your Words with Those Pitiful Numbers: Zakharova
Russophobia has been an expensive obsession for the European Union, as the anti-Russian course adopted by Brussels has painfully impacted Europeans themselves. This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a press briefing, according to TASS.
"This is the real cost of the EU's anti-Russian course. Yes, Russophobia is indeed an expensive obsession. And when someone in Brussels reports some successes on the path to abandoning Russian energy resources, let them back their words with those pitiful numbers," Zakharova stated.
The diplomat also cited calculations by experts, according to which the cumulative losses of the EU countries' GDP could reach 3.8% in 2024, with total damages amounting to about 1.3 trillion euros.
